Third Expansion Since 1992
The company has been operating in Gretna since 1992, and with this third expansion, will employ over 200 people. The new 33,000-square-foot facility will allow Amthor to increase its production capacity, aiming to produce more than 30 truck tanks per week, up from the current 20-25 per week. The additional capacity will enable Amthor to better serve the needs of its diverse clientele, both domestically and internationally.
$4 Million Investment and 100 New Jobs
Amthor International is investing more than $4 million in the new standalone facility, which is part of an overall $30 million investment. This expansion will create 60 new jobs at the new plant, with an additional 15-30 new positions at the existing facility. The new jobs will offer pay rates of over $20 an hour, depending on experience. This considerable investment in the local community will have a lasting impact on the economic prospects of the region.
