H&H Trailers is adding 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space at its facility in Red Oak, Iowa, company officials said.
H&H Trailers is a division of Novae Corp, which acquired H&H Trailers in January 2017. Since then Novae has “systematically reorganized the plants in Clarinda, Iowa, to provide needed capacity for growth and improvement in overall responsiveness,’’ the company said.
Novae Corp. has invested in upgrading the Red Oak facility over recent months, and the plant will run as a fully integrated trailer manufacturing plant, from weld to paint to final assembly, according to the company. Trailer production was scheduled to be under way by the end of January, and the plant is hiring both skilled and unskilled labor positions in welding, powder coating and assembly.
“Demand for the H&H Trailer brand has continued to outpace the growth of the overall utility trailer market,’’ said Troy Hanni, general manager for H&H Trailers’ Iowa operations. “This expansion is necessary for H&H to stay ahead of the demand curve and to provide our dealers with the customer service and response time they need to support their businesses.’’
Novae Corp. is a privately held company that was founded in 1995 and entered the trailer segment in 2000. Novae Corp. is one of the fastest-growing companies in the trailer industry over the past decade and has consistently been in the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, according to the company.
