Hendrickson of Woodridge, Ill., has acquires the Motor Wheel brake drum and Crewson slack adjuster business segments from Stemco and its parent company EnPro Industries, company officials said. The segments are based in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Kerea, Ky.

The business segments will operate as a division of Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems, according to a company press release. The Motor Wheel and Crewson names will be kept and used as a product name going forward, according to the company.
“This acquisition will provide a platform for Hendrickson to advance our light-weight drum brake system performance and provide components that will complement our existing product portfolio,’’ said Gary Gerstenslager, president and chief executive of Hendrickson. “We look forward to working with our new associates and strengthening our business serving the commercial truck and trailer industry.’’
