ThompsonGas Expands Holdings
ThompsonGas, based in Frederick, Md., has acquired All Service Propane, a propane provider based in Anderson, Calif, in the northern region of the state.
“We are pleased to announce that we have added All Service Propane, located in Northern California, to our ever-growing ThompsonGas team,” said Jeff Kerns, chief executive of ThompsonGas. “Brian Gillam has built a business that strives for excellence in service, which will continue with ThompsonGas.”
The acquisition strengthens ThompsonGas’ national footprint and is the company’s first this year. Last year, the company acquired Associated Propane and Redwood Coast Fuels in Northern California. ThompsonGas completed a total of eight acquisitions in 2020 in the West, Midwest and South.
“All Service Propane is a great addition to our presence in Northern California,” said Derek Ashmore, regional vice president of ThompsonGas. “It gives us another very strong footprint to continue our active growth strategy and continued industry-leading service.”
Founded in 1946, ThompsonGas provides propane services to more than 200,000 residential and commercial customers across 20 states in the East, Southeast, West and Midwest. The company ranks No. 6 among U.S. propane marketers for sales of retail propane gallons, according to industry reports.
