Tampa, Fla.-based Quala, one of North America’s leading industrial tank-container cleaning services, said it has acquired Alpha Technical Service’s (ATS) “Express Services” division. The division will now operate under the Quala brand.
The Express Services facility at 5100 Underwood Road in Pasadena, Texas, will immediately begin incorporating the procedures, technology and customer service programs available at all other terminals throughout the Quala network, company officials said.
“We’re extremely pleased about this transition,” said Steve Martin, vice president of sales and marketing at ATS. “The Quala team’s experience, advanced cleaning methods and industry knowledge will allow us to improve the quality of services available to customers in the Pasadena area.”
Four of five wash bays at the Pasadena facility will continue to specialize in general chemical washes; the fifth bay will be dedicated to cleaning tanks carrying dry bulk, food-grade products.
“Quala is very excited to add an additional Houston area site to our growing North American footprint,” said Eric Speiser, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Quala. “ATS’s Express Services has earned a tremendous reputation in this market. We plan to build on that reputation while also incorporating Quala’s proven effective methods and strategies.’’
In order to provide optimal service to customers, Quala plans to grow and improve the Pasadena facility throughout 2018 and beyond, company officials said.
Based in Florida, Quala is North America’s largest independent provider of tank-trailer cleaning, ISO container depot services and IBC cleaning, testing and reconditioning services. Quala’s national network of tank wash and wastewater treatment facilities encompasses more than 70 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Further information is available at www.quala.us.com.
