Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma has named Groendyke Transport a 2019 “Champion of Health.’’ Enid-based Groendyke won the award for its wellness program.

The company will receive the award at the 2019 Champions of Health Gala Sept. 26 at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa.

Groendyke provides a comprehensive wellness program to help its employees and their spouses reach their health and wellness goals. The company partners with HealthCheck360 to offer various wellness programs.

“Countless hours from our leadership, employees and our partners have been poured into this program because we see our employees’ health and overall well-being as a high priority,” said Holly McCormick, Groendyke’s talent office vice president.

The annual “Champions of Health Gala’’ benefits the Oklahoma Caring Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization that provides Oklahoma children with immunizations at no charge. Founded in 1994, the foundation is funded by community contributions and administered as an in-kind gift by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma, a division of Health Care Service Corp.
